CleverMaps' SOC 2 Type II report
We work with an independent auditor to maintain a SOC 2 Type II report, which objectively certifies our controls to ensure the continuous security of our customers' and their customers' data.
The Service Organization Control 2 (SOC 2) standard, developed by The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is a voluntary compliance standard certifying that a set of criteria ensuring a wide range of security controls are in place within a company, including:
Technical controls (access controls, data encryption, firewalls, IDs, etc.)
Corporate controls (physical security, personnel security, corporate governance, etc.)
Legal controls (contract execution, NDAs, intellectual property, etc.)
Software development controls (secure coding practices, change management, quality assurance, SDLC, etc.)
There are two types of the SOC 2 report:
Type I - describes the company's controls and procedures and the suitability of the design of those procedures.
Type II - audits the operating effectiveness of the controls and procedures described in the Type I report over a period of 6 months.
